How to make Milk Rice

Milk Rice is a popular South Asian dish that is absolutely amazing. It is made with coconut milk and has a creamy, heavenly taste that is sure to entice your taste buds. It is accompanied by a chilli paste that is made with onions, which is called sambol - and it really takes the dish to the next level. Mix the paste with the rice and enjoy, and I am sure you will love the results.

Milk Rice
Ingredients
- 2 cups of Basmati Rice
- 3 cups of water
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 3/4 can of coconut mik.
Method
- Wash the rice well, add water and salt and cook the rice in the rice cooker
- After cooked, stir the rice well.
- Add the recommended amount of coconut mik
- Test the food to see if it is salty enough. Add salt if needed.
- Cook again completely.
Now your milk rice is ready! Time to move on to the Sambol.
Sambol
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons of chilli powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 of an onion (sliced into small pieces)
- For the extra kick - Maldive fish
Mix them all well. Then add a bit of lemon juice. You now have a tasty sambol!
